Very quickly we want to take this opportunity to thank all our visitors for helping us in our quest to become a leading UK, US and ultimately Worldwide online recruitment tool. As a privately owned company we rely heavily on our users to spread the word via interesting and regularly updated content in their blogs on the forum and by inviting others to join their networks. With your help hopefully we can create some more t-ReX followers, thank you.
The Company:
We are a results driven company offering the most up to date and complete solutions to our users needs. Our shareholders are predominantly from a recruitment background so they are well positioned to know what will offer you the best 'return on investment' (ROI), whether that investment is time or money.
Looking at the online job portal community we found that it was incomplete with many sites offering only basic recruitment tools and user functionality; trying to differentiate themselves merely by advertising as a niche site i.e. attaching themselves to one sector e.g. *'onlyaccountants.com' etc. Or one geographical area that seem to be getting smaller and smaller what next, 'Jobs in my Road'! We have done the opposite and are a worldwide platform where you can drill down to your street if you wish. People are more willing than ever to travel overseas to work so tap into that with us.
In general there is nothing wrong with the niche model and it has worked well (who doesn't want to feel special?) but they have not backed it up with individually designed niche tools and functionality. In truth some companies have taken a basic job-board model and then rolled it out as twenty different sites, it's like taking one basic generalist site chopping it up into small pieces and claiming it now offers you more; 'reverse synergy'? We made a decision we wanted to offer more and felt many roles may fall between the lines. Candidates would be on one specialist site and not the other so employers would now have to search all the similar specialist sites of which there are now many; does this save time? Is it efficient? How about having all our specialist sectors in one place all searchable at once?
We cover every sector with every tool and user functionality available allowing both general and targeted Pay Per Click (PPC) and Pay Per Action (PPA) campaigns along with the traditional posting options. Recruitment Exchange was conceived back in January 2005 so you can see how far ahead we were thinking with our PPC/PPA 'jobs widget', 'affiliate directory model' and the inclusion of social networking tools via our 'professional blog' creation and search tools.
During our build these tools have become very popular with sites like 'Facebook' and 'Myspace' leading the way but are they for professionals? We, like many other professionals both in HR and elsewhere have some doubts about using sites aimed at socialising rather than recruitment and employment to advertise yourself as a jobseeker or look for employee information as a recruiter/employer. This is why we believe a 'professional blog' and blog network is so important. There should be no doubt that our blogs are built specifically for the purpose of promoting oneself or company to the business community.
We hope we have offered you a site that has the tools, functionality and user participation to claim that we are a collection of niches all in one place (ahh! synergy restored). We know we are not perfect (we do try) and we are already working on therecuitmentexchange (t-ReX) phase 2 so we would welcome any suggestions or comments you may have:
