Vacancy Search allows you to:  

You can access all these vacancy search boxes from our Homepage or my place-your own control and communication centre.

CV Posting allows you to:

  • add your own CV  
  • create a new CV on Recruitment Exchange using our CV Wizard
  • create an anonymous CV for additional privacy, aimed at employed users interested in receiving targeted opportunities (all communication with agencies/headhunters or potential employers is handled privately through your Recruitment Exchange communication centre-'My Place').

You can download our toolbar here in seconds or from the Homepage (also uninstalls in seconds if you cahnge your mind. Below is an image to show you what it looks like:

Main toolbar tools:
Links to our site, Full web Search, Social connector, Email notifier (all email your accounts), Chatroom, Separate sector job feeds, weather, Jobs ticker (click and links you directly to job detail), TV, Radio.


Jobseeker Widgets:
 

  • The latest jobs widgets allow you to have a widget on your iGoogle or Netvibes homepage (i.e. own PC desktop) that shows you the latest vacancies on The Recruitment Exchange as they are added.
  • Or create your own custom sector or geographical widgets from our feeds in Netvibes; here are examples on our Netvibes page of latest IT vacancies and latest vacancies in Switzerland widgets easily created from RSS. 

Or even become an affiliate and show a unique PPC & PPA widget on your blogs and social sites that earns you revenue.  Here is an example on our Ning site of what this widget looks like.   You can select zero for PPC & PPA and just add free content to your sites to interest users. 
 

Blog/Profile Options allow you to:

  • Create professional blogs or profiles; some types of professional blogs or profiles that you may create are:
  • Interactive CV Profile (profiles are private you need to approve people before they can be viewed here is an example of an interactive CV profile but in a blog so you can see it) and cover letters, you can choose to link this to your blog or your main CV thereby making it keyword searchable. This profile could hold all your CV variations and also any additional relevant experience, testimonials or images etc.
  • Portfolio blogs where the emphasis of the blog pictorial, these could be particularly useful to Web Designers, Civil Engineers, etc.
  • Sector expert blogs where individuals take it upon themselves to write articles give advice and show themselves to be authorities in their field. 
  • Create personal blogs that may be used as journals or to communicate with other Recruitment Exchange bloggers or external bloggers via the groups and forums facility. You can join any sector discussion threads, start your own threads, ask questions, network or just chat, its your blog.
  • You can access all these blog creation tools from our front-page or my place-your own control and communication centre. 
  • Create a link to your existing/current blog/s -if you already have a career blog and you want to make it linkable from Recruitment Exchange you can.

For advanced users and those wishing to learn more about blogging:

all Recruitment EXCHANGE blog templates can be edited or you can create your own HTML/CSS templates via the edit HTML tab on your Recruitment EXCHANGE blog.
Add meta tag information to your blog (what is a meta tag?)

 Promoting your blog:

  •   Depending on what type of blog you have created you may wish to:

 

create a Recruitment EXCHANGE blog and link to relevant Recruitment EXCHANGE user groups/forums

add your Recruitment Exchange blog to blog directories

add your blog to mybloglog

submit any articles you write to article directories

 

Create an Online Profile: 

  • If you want a pivate page create a trex profile it will appear with your own trex number like this http://www.therecruitmentexchange.com/trex1104 You can link it to your main CV so that any keyword search of your CV also searches your profile ensuring no relevant information is missed.  You can also put it on any CV's you send out.  It can be professional or private/social, I have heard of one user putting his trex number on a t-shirt with tags about himself and our website address so anyone who likes the look of him can connect to him.

 

'My Place'-Jobseekers Communication Centre:

  • An online record of your applications.
  • Email central where agencies and potential employers can post messages to your private Recruitment Exchange address; you can then reply or decide if you wish to release any additional contact information.
  • A history of who has contacted you with a date and timeline.

My Diary: (free diary management and alerts)

Possible uses for permanent and temporary jobseekers:

  • record interview dates and times with alerts
  • show potential employers or agencies the dates you are available or unavailable for work or interviews. This page shows our calendar as others will see it.

Jobs by Email, SMS and RSS

  • You can receive jobs by email, SMS and RSS feed that are automatically matched to the search criteria you added.  You can have multiple search criteria and change them at any time (add search criteria now).
