What is a Blog

The word Blog came about as a shortened version of Weblog which was the online version of a Journal/Diary and was the start of Blogging (posting onto a blog) by Bloggers (some who posts onto a Blog).  Entries are usually shown in a chronological order and are usually searchable by date of entry. 

Things have moved on since the early inception of Blogs and they are now used for all manner of things by individuals and companies to communicate to the public in general or as part of a network, usually but not isolated to a specilist subject even if that subject is YOU!

On the Recruitment Exchange both companies and indiviuals can create blogs for all manners of self promotion.  You can search and read other Blogs and join Blog Networks or request contact with other Bloggers when you find something of particular interest to you.  It is a great way to manage your online reputation.
